The Fireworks are growing! This year the show can be seen from Liberty State Park in New Jersey. The Liberty State Park portion of the show is brought to you in part by the "Star-Ledger" and the Jersey City Economic Development Corporation.
Our dazzling, state-of-the-art pyrotechnics will launch from our traditional East River firing locations between 23rd and 42nd Streets. And again this year, in conjunction with the Downtown New York City River to River Festival, Macy's is extending the show downtown, with an incredible display just south of the the South Street Seaport. The South Street Seaport/Brooklyn location will feature two barges stationed between the boroughs of Brooklyn (between Joralemon and Montague Streets) and Manhattan (between Broad and Wall Streets).
Spectators can watch the Fireworks from any point in Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens with unobstructed views of the sky above the East River.

Fourth of July Fireworks
Beginning at approximately 9 p.m., Macy's will have fireworks being released from 3 separate locations around the city. There will be a patriotic flyover at 8 p.m. courtesy of the U.S. Air Force. If you're not in the area, NBC will broadcast the fireworks live beginning at 9 p.m. EST.

New this year: enjoy the show at the Statue of Liberty at Liberty State Park in Jersey City. Consult their website <http://njparksandforests.com/> for details and directions.

The FDR Drive will be closed for spectator viewing 7pm-10pm from 14th to 42nd Streets. Pedestrian access to the FDR Drive for viewing will be at 23rd, 38th, and 42nd Streets ONLY. Entrances to the FDR Drive are handicap accessible. In downtown Manhattan, the FDR Drive will be closed for spectator viewing from the ferry terminal to the Pearl Street exit ramp. Entrance is from the Pearl Street Ramp only. FDR Drive will be closed to vehicular traffic from Houston Street to 63rd Street.
Pedestrians will not be allowed on the Queensboro Bridge and Roosevelt Island is not suggested as a viewing area as it is private property. No viewing is allowed from the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge or Williamsburg Bridge.

FDR will be closed beginning at 7 p.m. from the ferry terminal to the Pearl Street ramp. The Pearl Street ramp will offer the only pedestrian access to the FDR. Downtown fireworks will be visible anywhere that offers unobstructed views of the sky south of the Brooklyn Bridge, particularly on the Brooklyn Promenade between Jermone and Cranberry Streets and on Furman between Atlantic and Cadman Plaza West.

Spectators can watch the Fireworks from any point in Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens with unobstructed views of the sky above the East River.
All spectator vessels may view the Fireworks display from the following locations:The Buttermilk Channel south of the northern tip of Governor's Island, Newton Creek, east of the Pulaski Bascule Bridge and East River, north of the southernmost tip of Roosevelt Island. Call our marine hotline at (212)494-5243 for boater viewing and Coast Guard Safety Zone information.

Our fireworks cruise will usually get under way one hour before the scheduled launch of the announced Macy's Fireworks off the East River. Last year it was 8pm.

We may motor off to the southern end of Governor's Island for a view up the East River and towards the Statue of Liberty. We haven't received restrictions from the Coast Guard for the harbor.

We ask all of our guest to arrive in the Marina by at least 4pm by public transportation or before 11am by auto. The park authorities will close the park due to overcrowding and traffic.

We will inform all of our guest of exact times we they become  available.

Moving into position for a great view!
