Clipper Around the World Race

Each boat is crewed by 18 sailors. They sail 7 legs breaking into multiple parts, close to the clipper ship routes, circum-navigationing the globe.

Ten 68-foot boats, same design, photgraphed here, a day before they race off to Liverpool, England.

This is the second time the Clipper Race has stopped at North Cove, the first being in 2006. The race is held every two years.
